Attention - Food Trucks - Mobile Food Preparation Vehicles
King County Fire District #2 is participating in the Washington State Association of Fire Marshal’s (WSAFM) food truck inspection program. Food trucks can now receive a WSAFM checklist inspection from any of the participating fire departments, and that inspection will be recognized by all participating fire departments, including KCFD #2. With proof of an inspection from another fire department, you may also receive a discounted food truck permit to operate in Burien & Normandy Park. A permit is generally required from each jurisdiction you operate in. In Burien, KCFD #2 performs inspections after your food truck has completed an APPLICATION (click here) with the city of Burien. In addition to the WSAFM checklist inspection, our fire department inspectors may perform additional drop-by inspections during events to ensure safe operations throughout the year.
