Mission

King County Fire District #2 exists to provide service to the community by preventing and minimizing loss of life, pain and suffering, and property loss or damage.

Department Overview

Located 10 miles south of Seattle Washington, King County Fire Protection District #2 provides fire suppression, fire prevention, hazardous materials response, mutual aid response, and emergency medical services in cooperation with King County Medic One, the Valley Communications Center, and other related public services.

As public servants to the community, we are committed to excellence, and dedicated to the efficient delivery of these services.

The Department, consisting of 70 paid and roughly 12 volunteer personnel staffs 4 fire engines, one aerial ladder and one aid car to provide protection for the approximately 56,000 citizens who live within our boundaries. Advanced Life Support (ALS) is provided by King County Medic One. Private ambulance companies are utilized to transport non-ALS patients to local hospitals.
