Mission

Providing value to our communities through excellent fire and emergency services.

Department Overview

Located 10 miles south of Seattle Washington, King County Fire Protection District #2 provides fire suppression, fire prevention, hazardous materials response, mutual aid response, and emergency medical services in cooperation with King County Medic One, the Valley Communications Center, and other related public services.

As public servants to the community, we are committed to excellence, and dedicated to the efficient delivery of these services.

The Department, consisting of 70 paid and roughly 12 volunteer personnel staffs 4 fire engines, one aerial ladder and one aid car to provide protection for the approximately 80,000 citizens within our 21.3 square miles of boundary. Advanced Life Support (ALS) is provided by King County Medic One. Private ambulance companies are utilized to transport non-ALS patients to local hospitals.
